I was tasked with having to revamp the whole payment design for the mobile platforms (Android and iOS) alongside the desktop version. In addition, new alternate payment methods needed to be added such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo, etc.
A design system is a set of standards to manage design at scale by reducing redundancy while creating a shared library and visual consistency across different pages and platforms. It serves as the single source of truth for all projects that designers and developers work off of. I was tasked to build it up.
I was tasked with picking up this project from where it was left off from a previous UX Designer as I got hired. The portal was in desperate need of a modern redesign as the old design was clunky, highly outdated, and in need of responsive design.
